the idea girl says
this week I was busy planning the KUBB Niagara Fundraising Event. (My first time to do a fundraising event in Fort Erie).
I’ve done several fundraising events over the years but it was always on my own, going door to door for sponsors or raising money for local charities like the heart & stroke foundation, MS and walk a thons when I was a child (school, and local commmunity events) and then I did fundraising for a private school.
So this is exciting! Something new for me to work at.
I Look forward to doing more for the Boys and Girls Club of Niagara in Fort Erie Ontario Canada.
I’m working with Alvin Chew from Happy Jack’s Restaurant (Chinese Food on Niagara Blvd) and with Andrew Harwood from the Boys and Girls Club of Niagara and Flo Odding from the Fort Erie Friendship Festival to make this event possible!
Thanks to the volunteers from the families participating in the game (yes Andrew’s idea is to have the families challenge each other in games while learning how to play KUBB.
Our Tent is located by the Queen Street Entrance of the Niagara Blvd, by the Peace Bridge (Buffalo NY USA) and Maher Circle.
We will be behind the music concert stage, close to food and the art vendors. 🙂
I think this area had a car show last year. We’ll be on the grass playing this fun game around 1 pm (if all goes well- keeping my fingers crossed and doing lots of prayers for a good day – weather wise… ).
this is another one of my “volunteer” fort erie projects.
